At pinnacle points
Of pure exhaustion
Living
In the limits
Of a city
That permits me
To walk
Through the streets
And see
The reflection of me

Staring
Down at
My feet
Is someone
I've yet to
Encounter
Or ever
Hear the name of their soul

The words
Buried
Underneath
My perception
This deception
Of transgressions

Falling
Through the sands
The senses
That I send
To heaven
For nothing
I scout ahead and see the trees
Bending
And growing

Cut down
For nothing
For no one
I start to enter in my
Own life
And push down
No one on my way through
For I see
The meaning
Of walking through the doorway
Before me
I hope you
In time will start to perceive
The meaning
Of Jesus
And seeing every thing that
We could be
If we embrace
The kingdom of God

Behind the words
Reading
The meaning
Is hidden
To think that God was once gone
Left there
Inside the catacombs
Of our books
The Bible
He's living
God walks through our life
We mean to
Examine
All we are
Meant to
Outline
With timing that we have
On this Earth
Our own hurt
Is starting to fade
Away

I'm trying
To say
I'm trying to break away
The stumbling block
You walk on
The meaning is that I can say any words
I am
Connected
To our birth

For culture
Is in us
We walk through
The universe
We mean to
Examine
The tree of life
Before we get pruned

In time
I will fall
To the ground
Like a leaf
So I
Plant a seed
Within me
To grow
When I arrive there

I grow
In to me
My soul is reborn
I am free
